The Head of Finance will be responsible for:
Finance: Preparation of annual budgets, financial reporting & modelling. Be the lead for the year-end and audit process. Preparation and monitoring of cash-flow. Ensure robust and effective financial systems and processes. Taxation calculations and compliance. Manage the monthly payroll, pension and HMRC submissions
HR: Managing the HR processes and record keeping
Other: Line manage the Finance & Administration Assistant, company secretarial duties, support with fundraising and other administrative tasks. Working closely with the Box Office team to ensure all income is recorded and reconciled to finance systems

Job Purpose

Oversight of accounting and cash management
Most of the detailed work in this section is undertaken by the direct reports with the oversight and management being provided by this Finance Manager role
· Appropriate recording, processing, coding, posting of all financial transactions – including but not limited to bank receipts and payments, accounts payable, accounts receivable, conference fee income, invoicing, journal entries.

Role Particulars -
Working Pattern: Full time working hours, including weekly in-person team meetings in London: monthly all-staff meetings on Tuesdays twice a month, and weekly on Tuesdays twice a month. The nature of this role means that some travel and working away from home will be required, as agreed in advance. The Role
As Assistant Accountant, you will take a lead role in every aspect of the day-today accounting and financial stewardship of the Church, working in collaboration with the staff team. About the Role
We are looking for an experienced ERP Programme Director to lead the successful delivery of MSI’s global finance and supply chain transformation programme. This programme will transform our capabilities and delivery across MSI’s 37 Country Programmes and Global Support Office (GSO) with the introduction of new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) technology, driving us forward to deliver our vital mission.
The Director will shape the overall programme from the outset, so that it is set up for success. The successful candidate will need deep transformation and ERP experience, delivering full ERP programme lifecycles in complex organisations like MSI. For the programme to be successful, building strong relationships with key stakeholders across MSI’s Country Programmes, Regional and Global Support Offices will be crucial.
The transformation programme has been approved and is currently at the inception stage, giving the ERP Programme Director the opportunity to make key strategic decisions that will shape the programme; such as the selection of an ERP technology solution best suited to MSI’s business requirements, appointing and onboarding a third-party implementation partner and to design and recruit the internal project team required to ensure success of the programme.

Working flexibly from home, you will perform a core role in our small, friendly virtual team helping to maintain financial stability and control as we focus on our mission to deliver successful projects across a range of settings globally. You will report to the Strategy Director. The role is advertised at 15 hours per week and the preference would be for these hours to be worked over 3 days, however this can be flexed in line with the cyclical nature of some of the finance activities, particularly during quarter end.
This role has management & operational responsibility for all finance processes including budgeting, cashflow, VAT, Payroll, and overall management of our bank accounts and treasury. The Finance Manager will also manage the relationship and coordinate with our outsourced financial service providers.

Essential
- Demonstrated finance qualification, ideally ACA/CA or ACCA. Undergrad degree in Accounting with considerable relevant experience will also be considered.
